Dialogue Earth: Climate Impacts Me Illustration Project

I had the privilege of creating these illustrations for Dialogue Earth - Climate Impacts Me. A project designed to amplify the voices of five individuals from diverse regions across Africa.

Each individual shared a compelling and unique story about the personal impacts of climate change, underscoring the urgent need for both innovative and rapid responses at the governmental and grassroots levels.

The central illustration depicts a conceptual journey across Africa, featuring five distinct locations and case studies that collectively narrate a broader, interconnected story. Each scene highlights how climate change is already significantly affecting communities in different regions: Juba in South Sudan, Lake Victoria in Kisumu County, Kenya, Mpumalanga Province in South Africa, the Maasai lands in Kenya, and Sokoto in Nigeria’s arid northwest.

To further bring these narratives to life, I created abstract portraits and illustrations that capture the essence of each interviewee’s identity and experience. These visual representations offer a deep sense of the personal stories shared, illustrating how climate change has profoundly impacted their lives and communities.

“Working with Rose has been a huge pleasure. Her professionalism made every aspect of our project smooth and easy, despite the tight deadline (which she handled wonderfully). And the excellent illustrations she produced show just how talented she is. We're looking forward to working with her again soon, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.”

It was a rewarding experience to contribute to this significant initiative.
